After about a decade in the sun, design trends are moving away from cool grey and white, and toward warmer colours. So if you bought, renovated or painted a grey based interior what do you do to keep your home feeling current?
Start by adding some warmer tones in artwork and accessories. Art can really be a great way to tie a space together just by using pieces that have warm and cool tones, then choosing some of the warmer tones in the art for pillows and accessories. Persian style carpets can also be a great help because many contain muted cool and warm neutrals as a base.
We are loving the new caramel and olive greens we’re seeing in stores, and paired with ivory and black, these colours can definitely work with many tones of grey or griege. Natural wood and cane can also bring in that touch of warmth.
